SEN+ Wins Kaohsiung American School Multi-Purpose Covered Court Competition

SEN+ has been selected as the winning team for the new Multi-Purpose Covered Court and Annex Building at Kaohsiung American School.
Titled "Little Wings 小聚場", the proposal reimagines the project as more than a sports facility. It creates a new center for daily campus life, bringing together athletics, learning, gathering, performance, and community events within one flexible environment.
The covered court and annex building form two wings around a central campus agora. This shared space is designed as a place where students can meet, watch games, study, participate in events, and spend time together throughout the school day.
Responding to Kaohsiung’s climate, the design emphasizes shade, natural light, ventilation, and openness. The project aims to create a comfortable and welcoming campus environment while supporting sports, education, wellness, and community life.
The project also carries a personal significance for design lead Po-Han “Brian” Lin, a KAS alumnus from the Class of 2013.
“Returning to KAS as an architect makes this project especially meaningful to me. We wanted to create more than a covered court—we wanted to design a place where students can gather, play, learn, and build memories together. Little Wings is our way of contributing to the next chapter of campus life.”
Little Wings is envisioned as a place students will use every day and remember long after graduation—a new home for sports, learning, friendship, and community at KAS.
